Honestly, sacred stones is that easy, every well trained unit can solo it. It think PH outsmarted the others participans by just focusing on training two unpromoted units and then pick all the good prepromotes.

I completely disagree about imbue being a bad skill. Especially with easy and normal mode, but even on hard. In the late game many of your units will happen to have high magic, especially if you use bonus exp after some stats are capped. I’ll end up having someone like Titania or Zihark with imbue healing 15 to 20 at the end of each turn. It’s bad early on, but almost always becomes better than Renewal really fast. Elencia can also use it, and I always put in on her until I bench her for the tower.

1:36:09 it’s possible that PH is using a weird emu that fluctuates speed based on pc resources being used. I can’t use no$GBA because it would fluctuate between 95 and 115 speed on my laptop, but with VBA it’s a consistent 100% unless I use speed up. It’s either that or the frame rate causing weird little jumps that’s primarily noticeable when units move.

Minor nitpick, but I wouldn't judge a games success on the early sales, since a lit of those are usually ore-oeders and loyal fans who buy every game. Like, FF8 was one of the fastest selling FF game, mostly riding on the success of FF7, but the game itself is pretty controversial. I'd go more based on how consistant the sales are, past the initial release month. Edit: also, consider cult classics that tank on launch, ie VTM Bloodlines which bankrupted Troika Games.

I’d say that either Axomm or Donlot had the best draft, Mangs has the most potential to surprise, and PH got the bad pick. I picked last in a FE8 draft once and wound up memeing with horse promotions+Forde (but I didn’t get Lute due to knowing I wanted Gerik), and somehow got Dozla for my last pick, but that was back when everyone thought Amelia was amazing.

It's cool seeing my character appear in the recruitment pool(Kai Shiden) Hopefully he won't need to be drafted but with how many people we lost that might be unavoidable. Overall it was a good run of progress I feel like.

And so, a tale of liberation, mettle, sacrifices and comradery continues. It’s still somewhat strange, been a couple months past Mangs being rescued and XCOM ignited its resistance against the alien overlords. I, your humble chronicler, became part of such effort, although I admit I’m no Camões, I’m fairly more proficient with the pen then the sword, and fairly weaker at it then him. Luckily, it’s the age of rifles and Commander Mangs decided I was to be trained as a Specialist operative. Live fire combat is hopefully far away, with PH filling the Specialist role in squadrons, while I’m serving as Covert Ops operative for the meanwhile, and with Mangs track record of deaths, it may not be the wisest move. But I digress, onward to the mission reports. The crew got word of a relay responsible for the signal disruption performed by the aliens, and as scanning operations would be slowed down if it was allowed to progress, a team was sent to shut it down, in operation Steel Chalice. Strangely, the slums the operation happened were being visited by a horde of Lost, which distracted the alien operatives from XCOM troops. Not wanting to leave their high ground, the XCOM soldiers opened the building the Relay resided with explosives and destroyed it. The remaining forces wasted their energies on each other, and both alien and Lost were wiped in the crossfire. After a brief intermission, the aliens had struck a resistance camp in retaliation, and XCOM was dispatched to save them, among them the brand new XCOM mech Bone Chill against our first clash with Mutons, who were frying the resistance members, and they in turn shredded the advent troopers. The first point of resistance had few survivors from both resistance and aliens without large damage to XCOM members but as XCOM moved to the major point of resistance, the bloodbath started in earnest. While in the end we persevered, 12 people died, including our grenadier Shoe “Shuu” Kay, who was double teamed by the aliens’ Mechs. During the time between missions, facilities were built, as well as new armor to better survive engagement, and the science team developed the groundwork for mag weapons, couple engineers were recruited, etc… an eventful intermission. Eventually, word arrived from West Asian forces that Advent was moving to destroy a device built in to disrupt their more secretive operations and XCOM dispatched a squad to stop them, for operation Shackled Shadow, including Nat “Mystic” Hart, the new templar we got after the premature death of our previous one. The first squad of troopers crumbled, but the Chosen Assassin appeared who shortly discharged her frustration with her earlier engagement on Donlot. While she proved herself more competent this time and she and her goon managed to knock Nohrian Guy (poor guy even developed a phobia to her and her brothers) into death’s door, the mission was successful without casualties, and her slain again. Shortly after sending another troop in a mission, they were ambushed, Bethany, Lyndis and Mr Mangs, were forced to dash through lost city while dodging advent troops onsite who wanted them dead. Lyndis took a Laser from the pursuers, but all survived their bout to give their report about deepening our intel on the Chosen Warlock. Later on, an Advent convoy was detected, and a squad of troops was dispatched to raid it, and debut the mag weapons the engineers came with, plus deploying the skulljack on an Advent Officer (there were no officers). Savage troops were detected guarding the convoy, which translated to those big red alien thugs, the Berserkers, being present. They proved more accidental allies then threats as one of them smashed up one of Advent’s defense turrets, and both them and their Advent handlers were sent into the morgue shift with relative ease. Following another pause, transmissions were received, about a key resistance scientist getting caught by Advent, and XCOM, weirdly with a rookie Lemon Tart, for nebulous reasons, was going to rescue him and recruit him into the force. The squad managed to sneak into the truck undetected, but got involved with 2 squadrons of Advent troops, a battalion of Lost and as The VIP ran to the extraction point, the Viper King and his harem. Liberal use of flashbangs saved the VIP’s life, but the XCOM crew had more work cut for them, everyone that managed to return ate a grenade while “Big Tasty” was left there to bleed out, some held hope that the aliens captured him, but considering the Lost madness in the place, he is probably dead. Next guerrilla operations lead our squadron to an advent facility in Munich to obtain info on their preparations. The local lost proved themselves eagle eyed and compromised the squad stealth, but the officer that responded got skulljacked, which unleashed a Codex, a strange hard-hologram lady that created copies of herself when hit, and as the Assassin appeared to strike at them, things started spiraling out of control. A flashbanged sectoid took out the reaper “Haunt” in a lucky shot (admittedly he was exposed), the Assassin kept harassing Donlot, and Hart charged in, hacked the terminal and then went to use his blade skills on a reinforcement batch, with a very explosive purifier, barely survived to have the guard turret gun him down. They were forced to retreat after the pressure became too hard, and while they succeeded in the primary objective, they got outmatched by the Assassin and her troops. Kinda of a shame Nat died, felt he was a cool guy, but this mission is bound to have fatalities, and hopefully the losses don’t become large, most great demolitionists are in the morgue shift and we’ll need to ask our allies for new of their operatives. Hopefully it’s not a signal of bleeding experience for the future. This has been the tales of XCOM’s Egg campaign.

Ayra would’ve been an Emblem in Fire Emblem Engage if given a whole year of DLC development time. Sadly, Intelligent Systems moved on from Engage after only three months, and the game declined in popularity afterwards.
